Forced conversion is kind of a weird topic but worthy of discussion. Obviously whole countries of people and regions beyond have historically converted to one religion or another and sometimes back again as political powers wield their influence. Those influences are many and varied and often coercive, with actual material force to convert religions being a somewhat rare phenomenon.

It's been my experience that less than 2% of the people from any major religion actually have a faith based walk in life that justly honors their proclaimed religion. Probably most of those are faking me out. The number who actually believe at a soul based level what they claim as their 'religion' may be a fraction of that.

The vast majority of the remaining religious claims are most likely based on the need to belong or misplaced loyalties. I understand the need to belong and I will leave each to their own when it comes to that, short of extremism.

As for me...If you are to abandon all reason for the sake of loyalties to a group, if you will limit justice to further your devotion of dogma, if you intend to discard conscience and compromise purpose or principle to claim your places on this Earth among fellows, let my place be a cave and let my fellows be those who join me in my separation from the likes of you all. AMEN

Best regards,
Gem

Again, you evaded all questions. Are you a professional Congressional witness? Clinton's admin?

"Will you still say that if you are forced to convert to Islam and wear a burka?"

That is so illogical.

Wake up and smell the gunpowder, Euterpe. They've made their aims clear enough. Or did you cheer when Osama bin Laden called for death to all Americans, whenever and wherever found. And this conflict hardly started with Iraq. You know that.
