I missed it too. And glad of it.

There was one English prof, a pseudo-intellectual who had several awful books to his credit, whose son was in a handful of people we called hippies on our campus. I felt about them then as I do now, that they were losers.

Once my buddy and I saw this prof in his VW bus with a flat tire. He didn't know how to change it so we did it for him.

Later I began working in New York state in my professional job and this prof got a job at Syracuse University. I was cruising down the highway in my 442 when I heard on the radio that this prof had been busted for his marijuana parties with his students.

I nearly drove off the road laughing.

Went "riding" this morning. Schweetie and brother in law drug us out under the premise that we were going "poking around". Seems they only wanted to "poke" breakfast and "poke around" at the tractor stores! 200 miles later; we're home.

Got home and this little unsociable kitty that came to live with us is making some weird noises. She's been looking suspiciously "round" the last few days, and I was wondering if she wasn't gonna present us with a litter of equally unsociable kittens. Well, while kitty won't let anyone touch her; she OBVIOUSLY allowed one of the neighbor boys to touch her.

I realized what she might be trying to do; but she was laying on a bunch of river rocks in the bushes...under the corner eve...and it's supposed to rain. I got this cage thingy and brought it down, went in to get papers, rags, etc and schweetie says "too late, she just popped one out"! If we're ever to remedy the kitty population around here; she didn't need to have them in the bushes and then move them to parts unknown.

Well,(go figger)that very unsociable kitty didn't fuss at all when I scooped her and her baby up and put her in the new nest. Moved her over next to the wall and covered the cage to give her privacy. The first baby was white and the 2nd, about 30 mins later looks to be all black! 2 neighborhood boys????

Anyway...so this unsociable cat; if it becomes sociable...will be "fixed" as soon as these are adopted out. That is if she decides to become part of this family. :)

So, yeah...I've not participated in birthing critters in years...and I (think I) kinda like it! Guess I should go make another count. Stray cats never stop at a couple...noooooooo, they have to do it up right and have a basket full!!!

Wuzzup wif YOU today?!

MidwifE'

Edit: Make that 3 little kittens. :)
