"When do the debates start... the two shows i watched were political statements."

Ain't they all, John?

Frankly, although I found nothing especially edifying in the debate, I've also seen and heard many *worse* Presidential campaign debates in my life.

It's in the more 'unscripted' moments that sometimes a little truth leaks out from the candidates mouths before the polished spin kicks back in.

As the first debate of the season for the Party, one expects to see some rough edges. (No doubt they will all get slicker with more debates under their belts.)

The *many* debates that are already agreed to, and the multiplicity of different debate & question formats, I look on as VERY GOOD THINGS --- from the point-of-view of the public's right to know.

More the merrier, bring them on!
