Just to make you feel good, I opened an acct with Ameritrade and got %100 cash plus a free Treo 650 plus 50 free trades

I had my cus open an acct so I cud manage it. He got 500 free trades, $100 cash, and I got $50 plus an ipod swoozie for referring him

Trouble with the free trades is that theres always a time limit

I complained re website and they gave me 10 free trades cuz I had to sell something I just bot cuz it would put me into 11% margin fees

I am not unhappy with them but I am unhappy with the website. Too confusing to find out how much actual cash I got when I have a margin acct and dont want to dip into it

manalagi: I followed the same path, having an account with Jack White, which was bought/converted to Waterhouse, and now the Ameritrade merger... I sure miss Jack White... great small discount brokerage right here in San Diego County.

LOL! I also got that piece of crap tool set... hardly worth the effort to throw away.
