Ted, > Which brings up a question.......with things economically very strong in S. Korea, are Koreans still emigrating in large numbers to the US? Do you know?

As strong and prosperous as Korea is now, it's still very crowded there and the standard of living still doesn't match up to that of America.

Having said that, I don't think Koreans immigrate to America as much as they used to. I think it's still a significant number, but the reasons are changing.

No longer is it to feed the kids and find a better life. Now it's all about studying in American colleges, or getting a head start in the global marketplace, or learning arts/music/architecture, etc.
