WTF are we doing?????? 8 US Troops killed by roadside bombs today. This is beyond terrible. It is absolutely unacceptable. There are 2 very simple tactics available to counter what is happening. 1. Use the oldest Infantry force protection tactic of all time. Get out of the vehicles and patrol on foot with the men 5 meters apart. 2. Stop using hummers for motorized patrols. Where a vehicle is considered essential use armored personnel carriers of one sort or another. We do have them. Let me tell you what we are not doing. We are not using unconventional warfare techniques. Damn it, we are not even using good conventional warfare techniques.
