At 12-31-06, current assets less total debt was a negative $187 million. This pup is headed to the toilet as I previously predicted several months ago. Once a darling, now a pig. JMHO.

You think Steve Jobs would take the helm at Covad?!?!

C'mon, pulling out anecdotals does not address the issue, does it? As much as we'd like a superstar, who would risk their neck on Covad? I'm not thrilled with what we have, and I'm all ears if you have a realistic successor, but we could do *far* worse than CH.

Hindsight is 20/20, but the fact remains that company is still around, transformed dramatically from its wholesale consumer start, now treading water with a business focus and diverse and stable customer base. Yeah, I'd call the last quarter "stalling out," but the sky isn't falling. It's the stock price that has everyone complaining. If the price were $1.50+, it'd be pretty silent around here IMO.

But management has no short-term control over the stock price. Witness how far things have dropped on so little volume - it doesn't take much to push the price down.
