Agreed 100%.

But the means of getting there is in dispute. Supply-side vs. Keynesian. There are shortcomings to both, which is why I don't subscribe to a pure laissez-faire approach.

But with government growing by leaps and bounds, especially social spending, I don't see why liberals think we need more. Perhaps the failures of the Bush administration would make anyone think we've got too far to the right, but personally I don't see that. We're just a step away from universal health care, universal day care, and pre-Reagan taxes to pay for all of it.

(Or not? Depends on how accurate the predictions of a GOP downfall are.)
