The report ranks SA as sharing the top honours with Israel as the most e-ready countries in the Middle East and Africa.

What a joke. South Africa is on it's way to joining Zimbabwe. The only thing holding it up is that it was at a much higher standard of living than any other sub-Saharan when the present bunch took over, and it's natural resources provide a cash basis to keep it going for a while.

Think of South Africa as a grand old Cruise Liner, which has seen better days. Almost all of the crew has been changed, except for some essential personnel down in the engine room where they couldn't find anybody else who could even pretend to do the work. The passengers who were treated well in the old days can't get decent service now and are slipping off at every port.

It's only a matter of time before the engine room has a final breakdown before the liner is steered onto the rocks.

When this happens, the present crew will blame everybody but themselves, and demand the World Bank bail them out.
