Nasser can hardly be concidered to have "kept the arab world with him".....he did have ambitions of a pan arab nation.....but what happen to them.....?They came to nothing. Yeah, after Nasser died they came to nothing. While he was alive they had a great deal of significance. You can say the same about Stalin while you're at it. Sure he had ambitions for world domination, but what happened to them? they came to nothing in the end. Hardly the way to have any kind of a useful historical discussion.
