Any act of Islamic violence is Al Quaeda, whether or not they meet the supreme goal of multiple spectacular events. That is the qunitessenntial problem with our liberal, impressionable point of view in this country. We are willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt, even when they are self professed enemies of our state. WMD, Saddam, taliban, al quaeda, shiite militia, Iranian weapons dealers, Syrian Shiite Baathists, Palestinian Sunni Hamas, and Lebanese Shiite Hezbelloh - they all share the common goal of killing Jews and Christians. If they can't kill Jews or US servicemen, they attack their own governments for conspiring with the West. They attack their own police stations and execute all the security officers. Meanwhile, we are going to sit back ignore obvious terrorist plots in this country because they don't meet the highest standards of terrorist planning. I guess we are trying to protect our country and make people feel safe that we are free from terrorist threats. That's OK to some extent, but I would be inclined to make people aware of the fact that we are fighting organized terrorism in this country against the Islamists or Jihadis or Wahhabis. Whatever the case, people need to stop thinking 1.5 billion Muslims are going to stop hating us. They hate themselves, they hate Jews, they hate Christians, they only "love" God. Meanwhile, they come up with all kinds of killing parties to glorify their thirst for global assimilation. It's pretty sick if you ask me. I have no respect for any religion that condones killing innocent people and branding their victims as racists. It's revolting.
