LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

('Ya gotta wonder how anyone 'tripping' as apparently hard as SHE IS can even function in day-to-day life....)

I mean, the very fact that she can squeeze words out in a seemingly coherent manner must be a *major achievement* for someone in her condition.

(Or... perhaps, instead of an illegal psychoactive substance problem, she is instead an example of one of those 'high functioning' individuals with a particular mental deficiency? An 'anorexic Rain Man'.... Or, perhaps it's just ALL ABOUT the good ole Green Back. And, she'd say *anything*, no matter how bizarre or objectively insane, to keep her 'fan base' and keep those media appearances and book sales going. After all... baby's gotta EAT! :-)

(Look at the bottom of your post, Pomp....)

I'll say ONE THING for McCain, whether I believe he is right or wrong on any particular issue... there is no doubt that he's got guts.

Coming out *against* ethanol subsidies, in IOWA, and repeating his opposition is GUTSY.

(The position also happens to be correct, IMO, though it sure ain't gonna help him win the Presidency....)

"Most of those subsidies seem to go to large agribusiness instead of the farmers."

That statement, too, is utterly correct. (But, perhaps less important then the main fact that subsidies for corn-produced ethanol are cost inefficient, and do little or nothing to help our competitive position in the world, or with regard to 'energy independence'.)
