Jack Jacobs, medal of honor of winner, msnbc analyst and notable war critic, reporting from iraq says surge going good in areas where we occupy the area. Problem is we would need according to jacobs 1/2 million troops to make this work. He says iraq would have been successful if we followed zinnis intial call for 250k troops four years ago. Jacobs has been uncannily accurate on his iraq calls. Currently he says the US will start pulling out troops in september, though he doesnt necessarily support that. He figures Bush owes the GOP an end to the war prior to the 2008 election.
