It wouldn't surprise me if Islamic Jihad runs out of puff in Iraq and it becomes simply an Irish type conflict, with the two brands of religion battling it out to get control of the oil.

It is on your doorstep. It comes in the guise of Pat Robertson and Ted Haggard and George W. Bush.

You just don't see it for what it is because it is clothed in normal street clothes and wearing a pasty-faced grin.

Wake up.

Extremism is everywhere. Don't you know that the Air Force Academy actually has a group of Christian Extremist Crusaders with access to real armaments? Don't you know that AIPAC is running around committing 300 million Americans to perpetual war for the sake of Israelis who have 400 nukes in their arsenal?

Extremism is everywhere. It just looks different here but it's here nonetheless. Oh yeah, Grover Norquist's extremism wants to take the US government and drown it in his bathtub. He's not only given money, he's actually quoted in the mainstream idiot media.

Gasoline is $4.33/gallon in San Francisco today.

That's BigOil extremism which will sell you down the river faster than any Jihadist in Syria. Oh yeah, there are Jihadists in Syria BECAUSE George W. Bush is in Iraq. Syria has taken in millions of Iraqi refugees when no one else would.

They aren't allowed to work so they are running out of money. Exactly what do you think will happen whey they are completely out of money, can't feed their families and see only hell-on-earth in Iraq courtesy of George W. Bush?

Do you think they'll go from being desperate to being pissed? I hope we send aid to Iraqi refugees in Syria. That's better than perpetuating tax cuts to the ultrawealthy.

I told my colleague he should definitely try to get the Syrian to report the "recruiter" to the local authorities.

Do you seriously believe that the local authorities don't already know and approve? The only one who would get into trouble is your colleague's friend.

It's a long established pattern in Syria: Islamism exported to Israel or other countries: good! Islamism against the local authorities: bad! So they keep an eye out to make sure the recruitment is the 'good' kind.
