I REALLY got to explain this to one of ours?

(a) We pull out NOW. Wasting one more drop of American blood in a war we do not intend to win, in fact, intend to lose, is immoral
(b) We fight. REALLY fight. 500,000 - 2,000,000 soldiers in Iraq. Think Germany after WW2.
(c) The reality is lack the political will and decisiveness to do either. Instead we will be slowly bled to death until our effort collapses and we are FORCED to withdraw what little remains.

Then we take the consequences of our failure, If we are lucky, we get an Islamic theocracy that leaves us alone. More likely, Iran gets new territory, officially or otherwise. Then comes trouble. Say a tanker or a leaky freighter with a nuke in the hold. Sails inti NY harbor. 911 looks like a picnic, We'll find out who did it. Then comes a declaration of war and we're back in.

You see a problem with this? In spite of the comparisons of this to Vietnam, it isn't. The Vietnamese never threatened ti follow us home. To pick just one example, OBL said every American should be killed, whenever and wherever found.
