My next door neighbors just had to put their dog down last Friday. She was 16 years old. They said that was the last one for them. I've gone nearly 30 years without a pet. I could never replace "Mister", the best German Shepherd ever. Fully obedience trained, including hand signals. I loved showing off that dog... he loved showing off, as well.

It is hard to loose a dear friend. It seems like they always fine me. I can say no, we won't go through this ever again, and low and behold there's another soon to be best friend. It amazes me how this always seems to happen. It's for the best really, because they way I look at is this, we need one another, something made that little nudge and we both wound up together.

She was a Rhodesian Ridgeback? I've seen them at the dog shows. Beautiful animals.
