crdesign....

Yeah, sure PECO is a "green" company. Once a year they send you a a flier with your bill which tells the percentage of power generated by various forms. What do you suppose is the percentage of their power comes from wind? LOL!

Peco Wind is a nice symbolic gesture, but it is like spitting in a monsoon. But that's OK, with non-scientific types it is all about perception anyway. "Gee, at least they are doing something...."

BTW - do you pay the extra $2.54 per month on your PECO bill to support the development of renewable wind energy in Pennsylvania?

But wait! One of the best places in the USA to place Wind turbines is a location near Martha's Vineyard! The environmentalists are strongly against placement of those turbines arguing that they are nothing more than large Quisinarts that chop up the hapless shore birds! Which is it guys?

Now as far as SUNOCO goes....You live in the area, why don't you wander into Sunoco Corporate HQs some day and ask them about their reductions in emissions back to 1990 levels and the amount of $$ they have spent complying with environmental regulations in the last 10 years? Ask them about what capital projects they have done to improve emissions and reduce spills at their 3 refineries in the area (Philadelphia, Marcus Hook, Eagle Point).

Problem is that most people, who are ignorant of what these companies are doing or have done, assume that they have done nothing!
