but the rich have some of the lightest taxes in the first world if not the entire world. Light in terms of personal income taxes maybe (although not the lightest), but not in terms of corporate income taxes. Well this is great......while we've been reducing the tax rate on personal income over the past 5 years, other countries have been cutting their corporate tax rate so that now we have the highest corp. tax rate among the developed countries, making the US less competitive. And we can't afford to cut our corp. rate because it would mean a huge increase in the deficit. Thanks for pointing it out.
