While the 8th century troglodytes try to improve the world with box-cutters and suicide belt bombs, and olde-style kleptocratic dominance hierarchy tribal temporal wet-chemistry alpha male megalomaniacs and their time-expired female friends playing nationalistic and xenophobic geopolitics battle to fleece the sheeple, we the cyberspacoids are creating a new realm out of thin aether. Those atavistic chimpoids have no idea what's going on, even if I write it here for them to read. Geode for example, won't know what to make of it and probably needs a dictionary to get a hint. Cyberspace is where it's at, to coin a phrase. People like Geode and Sarman go on about the growing wealth gap with the rich getting richer and the average getting richer slower, but they should see what's happening in the digital divide. It is NOT shrinking. It is accelerating and will continue to accelerate faster. And that's without genetic engineering kicking in. Geode is exceptional in that she has a small window into it, seeing the outcomes. A kind of reality-based chimpoid [as the Neocons call it though they had no idea what is going on either being in the duped reality brigade] who watches it happen, but has no idea why or how and isn't even sure what she sees. Most people have no idea and think it's about buying stuff on eBay and ranting in chat rooms or perving at porn. The reality-based people are worrying about the greenhouse effect, global warming and supermarket plastic bags! Hilarious. Apart from the fact that that's not going to be a problem, and is actually a solution, [to the danger of glaciation], it's missing the big stuff. Mqurice
