In a perverse way, I don't think the rules have particularly changed. I instead think the true rules weren't published or broadcast for most to understand. While I don't tend to buy into conspiracy theories (at least to my knowledge I don't), reading stuff like "The Creature from Jekyll Island" and "Empire of Debt" has changed my view of what governments and those in power are all about in most respects.

That said, I think most in power would welcome a pardon of virtually anyone in power convicted of a crime.

It's disturbing to me to be so cynical, but it's making more and more sense to me to think like a "kook". <NG>
