Sadly, this must be universally true. I think my fellow Denver drivers are among the nation's worst. But, I saw it in Wyoming last summer and in Arizona last spring. Running yellow lights that are an instant away from turning green is one of the worst violations around here. Following much too close is next. A safe driver is in everyone else's way.

You know I heard that term jaywalk (and jaywalking) growing up in California. For some reason I formed the impression my Mom didn't like me using it so I very rarely did and it's a good word as far as I can see.
