Oh Ten, don't be naive. Why do you think the term of the presidency was changed to a limit of two terms? Its true that the GOP wanted to get FDR out of the presidency and not have a repeat by another Dem. but both sides recognized the danger of a president getting too comfortable and familiar with the Oval office.
