BTW, re: George W. Bush's "gut feeling," why does this surprise and disturb you so much? I have never known a politician who didn't, and almost all of them have used the same phrase at some time.

In RE: your friend - well, nothing new there. Your friend needs to find a new church IMO, but if they are happy, it is their money and they are free to choose. People have been doing similar things for a long, long time. If not Israel, then something else. "The end is near" is not a phrase that first appeared in this century, or the last, or the one before that. But I think you know that ;-)
