It is impossible to coerce belief or to impose beliefs on anyone. Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop some people from trying it.

There seems to be, in the vast majority a cases, a major difference between what a person believes with regards to his soul and a role in the world vs his identity reflecting affiliation with a group following a particular religion, or dogma.
