I am not sure Reagen can be blamed for the start of americas decline.

As I've listened to conservatives express the good old days I've narrowed down when the US started to decline to one of two times.

1. When "under God" was added to the pledge, or

2. When Elvis became popular. Once Elvis started shaking his hips, it was all downhill from there.
