Yes there are a lot of factors besides CCW permits. But the fact that the states with such permits have lower homicide rates does at least devastate the argument that passing such laws with lead to a vast increase in violence.

Secondly, we have no idea what weapons were used in the homicides......knives, guns, strangulation with a cord....what?There are so many reasons why the weapons used is important to this analysis. I'll let you figure what they are.

CCW can also deter or stop potential murderers who aren't using a gun. It certainly isn't going to increase things like murders with knives.
