She's a political hack with no clue.

Hasn't she ever heard of the word "turnaround"?

Refineries need maintenance. It is generally done in the Spring, between the end of the winter heating season and the start of the Summer driving season.

Hillary may have a small case to make. Perhaps there is some price fixing going on.
I know little about the downstream end of the oil patch.

On the other hand, more refinery capacity means more gasoline, which means more greenhouse gases.
So, Hillary is clearly endorsing a larger carbon footprint as part of her political platform?

What I get from the article and interview that you posted is that Hillary believes that 15 dead people at a Texas refinery is justified, if half a million people can fill their tanks for $2 less than if the refinery went offline for a week to perform routine maintenance.

She really is a political wh0re, isn't she?!
A case of "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing".
She's latched her perfect American orthodontics onto this issue and like a rabid pit bull she won't let go.

Interesting stuff. I am curious to see how it all plays out.
Keep those articles coming - it is great reading.
