Good news.

If solar can actually become competitive (at least "under certain circumstances") then we will get more solar power, without having to increase subsidies.

I don't have anything against solar power, only against subsidies and other forms of government intervention pushing one source of energy above other sources.

Shrinking the cost for solar power

He does not address distributed solar ... when thin film materials can be really be mass produced, every roof in the nation will be a generating station, and one that is as close to the consumer as possible. I think this is where the future is.
