There are more guns in the US then Iraq, but less violence. If you have strife between different ethnic and religious groups, combined with a lot of fanaticism, and a high degree of political turmoil your likely to have violence. "The NRA's dream", doesn't isn't one of suicide bombers, political instability, and hatred between different sectors of society. And arguing that allowing concealed carry can marginally decrease violent crime, isn't the same as arguing that the existence of a lot of guns automatically makes things peaceful.
