Here's a arbitrary short list of cities with high property values -

New York, New York only 16 under 300 K
Who knows what part of New York City these are in ?

Seattle, Washington only 4 under 125 K
11 under 150 K
29 under 175 K

Boston, Taxachhuttes only 14 under 150 K

Miami has a bunch of cheap places since the condo boom went bust.

San Francisco, California 4 under 250 K
25 under 300 K
83 under 400 K

I'm a little surprised Balitmore was so bad, I thought the place had become livable - I guess not. Maybe they need a Rudi Guiliani type.

It is very difficult to have a city that is good enough to attract people from the suburbs.

So I would not make a bet on a modest urban condo exceeding the price of a standard 3/2 suburban house except in very select places.
