The SF market is tough. The Web 2.0 smaller version of the dot-com boom isn't going move prices lower either ;-)

There are many more new residential buildings being built in San Francisco, especially South of Market. These buildings are really big, so if enough are built, then the market may ease a little.

You can get much more house in in any of the "suburbs", and they have their own job sources - like Oracle, Adobe, Apple, Google, Cisco, etc.

However, San Francisco has a really good looking mayor....
