Yes, in war time Nazi Germany plotting against Herrn Hitler as we know was fatal. That said this doesn't mean that this condition would necessarily have prevailed after the war.

It likely would have in they won the war, or even if they had a decent peace settlement. If they lost but not totally conquered, like what happened after WWI, then Hitler might not have been safe.

All that said, however, I find it curious that as far as I know none of the leaders of countries involved in the war or close to the theater of same was replaced during WW II.

Well none of the major countries at least. There are so many countries that played a minor role that I can't be sure about them. Its not really surprising. There is a strong trend towards keeping a leader in times of major war.

As for "Hitler, The Dictator" I always had a problem with that. First of all he came into power according to the laws of Germany and while what happened later might well be characterized as dictatorial behavior by the means of our day, we shouldn't forget that he and the NSDAP had a majority of the German population behind them pretty much until the end of the war.

He came to power with a plurality, not a majority, and then outlawed other political parties. He got votes to support that action, but to an extent they where achieved through intimidation. He used the laws, and the democratic process, but he ended actual democracy. He might have won a majority in new elections, but he didn't hold them, at least not as real free elections. I think its reasonable to call him a dictator.

had there been time and opportunity to call for general elections.

They could have held elections before the war but after he took power, or even during the war. Other countries did during the war, and Germany was not extensively threatened or disrupted in the early part of the war.

For an example see
en.wikipedia.org

but I doubt its the only one.

The UK has a parliamentary system, so they would only have elections when the PM loses a vote of confidence. But if they had a system like ours, I'm sure they would have had an election.
