This one is true. We had been discussing drawing and art in the early years vs opportunities presented now. She is a teacher of young children. (I changed name of the child at her request)

I have to share a funny story with you about one of my 4 year olds. I am not a big fan of color sheets and staying within the lines. They are good for fine motor, but not creative art.
I decided it was creative art time. Out came the blank paper, crayons, pencils and magic markers. I said, " Okay kids draw or color whatever you want." About 5 minutes later I hear, "Miss W...., Miss W.... come here and see." I walked over to Bobby, my very creative tousled little Einstein. He held up his paper and said, "Look Miss W...., I drew a butt." Sure enough it was a butt! We are doing color sheets tomorrow.
