OT: "i wonder how true to life"

Oh, it's true to life! The local paper has a permanent "Polygamy" section ( not kidding ).

As a guy who rehabs old houses, some of the stuff you find on the market here is intriguing. Houses with three kitchens seven bathrooms and twenty bedrooms!

Most of the polygamists live down near the Utah/Arizona border, but many are scattered all over, including here in SLC. The only time you really hear about them is when they make the papers, usually through a disgruntled wife #n taking them to court. The Kingston's are a prominent SLC polygamous family, that own several local small businesses and are worth millions.

The missionaries I debated with told me that the church doesn't REALLY disavow polygamy, they've just modified the command from Smith so that it's time has not yet arrived. The polygamists are just Mormons who split with the mainline church over the issue, like Protestants!
