Either HBO or Cinemax is available on Verizon FiOS for $15.99/month. A Combo of both is available for $25.99/month. I elected not to contract for either. My wife and I are suffering from Channel overload as it is.

I used to have a very attractive HBO package from Comcast that was made available when I added HDTV support and an HDTV STB. For $10 a month I received the HBO Suite and that price included the normal Comcast $5//mo adder for HDTV — so it effectively was a $5 net adder. Despite that modest price I dropped it several months back since we seldom viewed HBO, although they host some fine series and specials not available elsewhere.
