I have a fairly good memory for what I read------fairly sure that Obama has referred to himself as African-American. No time to research that now, later. He talks about his self doubts while living in Hawaii about his mixed race, heritage---------this is an opportunity for him to come to grips with those doubts and declare simply that he is an American-----that he is not running to be the first black President or the first President of mixed blood or an African-American President but an American President. This would be my advice to him if I were on his campaign staff. mj
