The next president's main job will be to clean up the terrible mess left by Bush-Cheney, plus all the high-level corruption. If it's a Republican, many of the same special interests will remain in powerful positions so the clean-up will be impeded. The supporters of Bush-Cheney need to be disenfranchised to the point where they have no major power in our governmment for the forseable future. So we can take on Exxon and Big Pharmas for instance, without fearing them. The GOP needs to cleanse itself and rebuild around honest leaders. They need to remember Goldwater and what he was saying. The Bush-Cheney era will go down in history as the worst disgrace in US history. They are not conservatives either, mainly just crooks of the highest degree.
