<<I think it was rather predictable that Nokia would increase share in Q2, but it was a surprise to me that Nokia not only announced a potential upside surprise to their conservative Q2 guidance but did it this early in the quarter.>>

Yeah, the fact that Nokia knows already on May the 14th that the Q2 market share will be more than 36%, is kind of remarkable. I think Nokia wouldn't have announced this early, unless they were 100% sure that the market share will be at least 38%. If there was any uncertainty, they could have easily waited until early June, when they know the sales figures for the first two months.

Nokia warned only about the unit volume, but there might be some upside potential also in the ASP. N95 is selling amazingly well, I've heard some very positive comments from Nokia people. Obviously N95´s demand has been much stronger than Nokia's expectations, and so far there has been no need for Nokia to even consider cutting the sky-high price.

Nokia started share buy-backs immediately after the AGM, and during the first six days they managed to spend already €200m in the buy-back. Being a net buyer of about 2 million shares each day sure supports Nokia's price levels.

If the Entrerprise solutions unit manages to break even in Q2, then the third quarter should be clearly profitable. Although the overall volumes of Nokia communicator aren't that big, there is huge demand for E90 amongst the loyal communicator users. And I'm sure that each and everyone of them wants to upgrade to E90, as soon as it becomes available!

As a conclusion, I am rather optimistic about Nokia as a company. But on the other hand, my faith on the overall market isn't that strong, so I don't own a single Nokia share myself.
