The trade deficit HAS TO narrow; at $750 billion it is unsustainable. Much better that we increase exports than have our bonds become worthless and our interest rates skyrocket.

One big step is alternate energy since 36% of the trade deficit is oil. That $270B leaving the US and going to the ME, Venezuela, Russia and a few others.
