That's right. It could very appropriately be referred to as the energy equivalent of Pearl Harbor. That will be the "reality to stop the anti coal movement."

I think I posted here, a WSJ book review that suggested that the (uncontrolled and undesirable) coal mine fires in China consume 100 million tons of coal a year. This oxidation releases the CO2 equivalent of all the tailpipes in the United States. Why we are fooling around with this piddly stuff when China is the most flagrant CO2 emitter is beyond me. (Note: I am not persuaded that man released CO2 is causing global warming.)

Face it. The United States created the Rev Jim Jones. Americans are unhappy because they watch too much TV, and now want to drink the Kool Aid in the form of the new Global Warming religion. From what I can tell, they will get their heart's desire. I hope to convert my Canadian NG holdings to hard assets and plenty of K Rations long before we are back to the wampum system of trade.
