That was hilarious how quickly the Suns came up with that excuse. I think all NBA teams should have a lawyer on the bench to come with B.S. like that.

David Stern has plenty of opportunity to avoid punishing the Suns.

1. There was no fight. Thus he can avoid suspending the Suns players using that loophole.
2. Tim Duncan and Bruce Bowen left the bench during a scrum earlier in the game. If Stern feels he must suspend Stoudamire and Diaw to maintain the sanctity of the law, he can balance it out by suspending Duncan and Bowen.
