re: To a degree, they are right......we can't produce enough corn for ethanol to make a dent in oil consumption. To some degree I can understand Castro's upset, but why Chavez is upset is beyond me. After all, he benefits when we are short of oil. And we will be less short of oil if we increase production of ethanol. It's not "THE" solution (nothing is "THE" solution) but it's part of the improvement process. And corn will eventually go by the wayside as the source of ethanol... it's a lousy solution but politically expedient.
