I don't think you can blame the fires on over-population. Just real dry.


The one in GA/FLA was started by lightning but many in CA are started by arsonists.

The RE market here is horrible, and will get much worse. Property taxes will trail property values on the way down, insurance rates are huge if you can get insurance, and then there are the fuking hurricanes and threat of GW making things steadily worse forever. Would you move to Florida? Not me, not if I made the decision today.

Hell, I wouldn't move anyplace where the water supply is in question. CA, NV, AZ, NM even FLA......all have serious water problems developing.
