Go plant a tree someplace alas, environmentalists have determined that trees, at least Canadian trees, are a cause of global warming. previously the oil sands operators could plant trees as some kind of CO2 credit, but the environmentalists discovered that trees increase global warming due to 1) reducing the amount of white snowy area which reflects the sun; 2) burning down in forest fires; 3) having been planted by evil capitalists. this is not a joke (except for 3 :). it was discussed recently by Don Coxe.
