Yes both "massacres" where the same. They where the same in that they where not massacres.

As for allegedly trying to prevent conflict in Iraq, I would buy it if those who support it send their own kids to do so.

Your children aren't your property. That's true even when they are children, and even more so once they are adults and old enough to fight wars. Whether or not your child (if you even have children) fights in a war, is not a reasonable criteria for buying anything pro or anti war people have to say. Its an ad-hominem, your making it about the person (or in this case not even directly about them but about their children) rather then dealing with the actual issue.
