He made the odd sound during the conference, but was basically quiet.

The odd sound?

Gurgles?

Shrieking keening sounds?

Panting?

I have this effect on children..

I could have used some of that over the past 4 days. It's been many years since I've been around 2 year old kids. I can tell you this, however, my own 2 kids never behaved the way most 2 year olds do today. What ever happened to discipline? "No" sure doesn't mean NO to these kids anymore, probably because they rarely hear it. They only shout it themselves. My breaking point was nearly reached when we finished lunch in the restaurant the other day. The little one demanded to get "down". When she didn't immediately get her request, it was screeching like she had been stung by a bee. Once down, she proceeded to run the floor, with her 12 year old brother trying to catch up. I see that often, with moms and dads just smiling as if the rest of us are entertained by the brat.
