KT, I agree with you. It's a sad state of affairs when you can't discuss the issues honestly. There are plenty of legitimate points on both sides of these debates. One of my buddies always argues that a lot of our meddling in the middle east a few decades ago was done to offset potential communist influence in the region. He admits that a lot of chickens have come home to roost because of that, but adds that if we didn't, perhaps there would have been other bigger problems. It's harder to see the positives in some of these actions because you have prevented bad things from happening. At least that's an honest conversation. We get crap from the left and right. The right won't even admit these things and left thinks that if we just hug everyone and do what they say everything will be fine. Sad.
