I dont think anyone disputes the fact that if you draw a trendline from 2001- that Gold still looks good.

The same thing was true if you did that from 1974 to 1981 after the first corrective phase of the last gold bull. If people felt that way and traded 'that' correction as positive- they promptly lost their ass as gold went into a 20 year bear market from $800 to $255.

The challenge has been since last May. It's been a year of dead money and now over 70 points for the HUI index.

You need to consider both TIME and tape in any technical, or fundamental discussion on how healthy the gold bull is. It seems to me that the permabulls are only considering the tape and the chart- not TIME.

That's my take anyway.

I learned my lesson 20 years ago and had to relearn them here again. Its never too late to learn.
