Just grandstanding/political posturing by the democrats... Additionally it highlights their outright ingnorance as to why gas prices have been going higher.

Like I stated above...

Heck, look no further than the continuing popularity of SUV's...

I was around for the gas crunch in the 70's when the American buying public suddenly started driving cars made by then little known companies from Japan like Datsun, Toyota and Honda. Miles per gallon was actually a concern then..

Bottom line - if the American public is so damn concerned about rising prices at the pump they should act like it!

Pelosi is doing a great job. Bush wants a clean troop funding bill. He won't get it.
