well for me, when Jordin sings, there is a real emotion in it. Its not something you can put your hands on really. Its like listening to Aretha Franklin, there is a punch there. Obviously Jordin is young and an amateur. But with Melinda, who is not an amateur, I don't have the same sense of emotion. Like when Melinda sang w-o-m-a-n, she did that one once before, and it sounded EXACTLY like it did before. No uniqueness - if she sang it tomorrow it would sound the same, if she sang it after a personal tragedy it would sound the same. You could say that is the role of a professional but for me its a big yawn.
